The camel safari was a traditional way of transporting goods across the desert. The hardy camels are well-adapted to long journeys across the burning desert sands. Bearing loads of spices, textiles and jewels, camel caravans traveled along the ancient Silk Route. The camel safari in Rajasthan Tour recreates the magic of a ancient camel caravan, and takes you across the starkly beautiful countryside of Rajasthan, in comfort and safety. Day 01 - Arrive Delhi
On arrival in Delhi, you will be received at the airport and helped to check into your hotel, where you can relax and stay overnight.
Day 02 - Delhi
In the morning, take a tour of Delhi and see the Qutab Minar, India Gate, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Parliament House. In old Delhi you can see Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and the Red Fort, including its fascinating sound and light show, before you return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 03 - Delhi - Mandawa
In the morning we leave for Mandawa by road. See the heritage sights and painted havelis, (old mansions) of Shekhawati. Drive on to Delhi and stay overnight in your hotel in Delhi.
Day 04 -Mandawa - Bikaner
In the morning we drive to Bikaner, on check in into hotel on arrival. Then we take a tour of Bikaner and see the Junagarh Fort, built in the mid 1500's by Raja Rai Singh. The fort has a 986 metre long wall with 37 bastions and two gates. Also see the Bhand Sagar Temple and the Camel Breeding Farm in Bikaner. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 05 - Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Leave for Jaisalmer in the morning. Arrive and check into your hotel. Relax in the afternoon or explore the city's markets. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 06 - Jaisalmer - Badabagh - Baisakhai - Ramkunda
After breakfast we begin our camel safari. After an initial briefing,you will be seated on a camel, with an experienced camel driver. The camel safari begins and we leave for Badabagh, where the royal cenotaphs of Bhatti Rajput Kings of Jaisalmer are located.
Halt and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani meal at Baisakhai. See the village, the temple nearby and resume your camel safari to Ramkunda, where you can rested in a tented camp. Also go sight seeing to the nearby temples.
Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in the tented camp.
Day 07 - Ramkunda - Roopse - Ludharva -Chatrayil
After breakfast we leave for Ludharva on camel-back. We halt at Roopsi, a typical Rajasthani village with mud huts. Stop for lunch at Lunch at Ludharva, see the nearby Jain temple and resume your camel safari to Chatrayil, a typical muslim village in Rajasthan. Continue your camel safari to Peerawal. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 08 - Chatrayil - Salkha Beri of Kanoi - Sand dunes
After breakfast we leave for Salkha, a traditional Rajput village. Have lunch and proceed towards the Sand dunes. On the way we stop at Beri of Kanoi and see the traditional water wells. You can see colorfully dressed Rajasthani women, balance pots filled with water on their heads. Arrive at the sand dunes, where you can enjoy your dinner, along with a campfire and folk music of the desert. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 09 - Sand dunes - Kanoi - Masoordi - Jeseiri
After breakfast we leave for Masoordi via Kanoi. Here you will see a typical village of carpenters and wood carvers. You can purchase beautifully carved wooden items from the craftsmen. Arrive at Masoordi and have lunch. After lunch our camel safari proceeds to Jeseiri, an oasis with a beautiful landscape. Stay overnight in a tented camp near the oasis.
Day 10 - Jeseiri - Dedha - Deegasar - Kuldhara
After breakfast our camel safari leaves for Deegasar via Dedha, where you will see a traditional Rajput village. Enjoy your lunch at Deegasar, located near a picturesque lake. We resume our camel safari to Kuldhara, the site of an ancient village. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 11 - Kuldhara - Moolsagars - Amarsagar - Jaisalmer
After breakfast we leave for Jaisalmer via Moolsagar and Amarsagar. On arrival in Jaisalmer we bid farewell to the camels that have carried us on our magical camel safari. Check into you hotel and rest and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 - Jaisalmer
Today we take a tour of Jaisalmer, which is located at the beginning of the Thar Desert, and is a medieval fortress that has withstood the test of time. The majestic Golden Fort at Jaisalmer is an impressive sight. Other attractions of Jaisalmer are the havelis or mansions, with fine carvings, Jain temples, local handicrafts and sand dunes in the desert. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 13 - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
In the morning we drive to Jodhpur. Arrive in Jodhpur and check into your hotel. Relax in the afternoon or explore the city's markets. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 14 - Jodhpur
Take a tour of Jodhpur, founded by the Rathore ruler Rao Jodha in 1459, was the capital of Marwar and is a historic city in Rajasthan India. Tourist attractions in Jodhpur include the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Jaswant Thada or royal cenotaphs. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 15 - Jodhpur - Jaipur
Leave for Jaipur in the morning. On arrival check into your hotel. Relax in the afternoon or explore the city's markets. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 16 - Jaipur
In the morning enjoy an excursion to Amer Fort, which includes an elephant ride up to the main gate. Also see many beautiful monuments, forts and palaces in Jaipur such as the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and City Palace. You can enjoy sightseeing and shopping for exquisite artwork and handicrafts in Jaipur, a marvelous synthesis of heritage and contemporary trends.
Day 17 - Jaipur - Delhi
